So I just finished reading Eamons post (http://respondhard.blogspot.com/2011/02/story-endings.html) and I think it's one of the best iv'e read all day. I like how he started off not just jumping right into the story, he gave us a question to wonder about the whole time we were reading then slowly answered it throughout the blog post. He kind of formated the whole blog post on that question too with out getting off topic. In case you were wondering the question was " Why is it that in the stories that we most like things turn out badly?"
I kind of do the same thing that Eamon does and when ever i read a sad part in a book i somehow always find my self going back to the same page just to reaalllyy make sure thats what happened and secretly hope i read it rong or I understood it the wrong way. I think thats what authors actually want you to do though, to want you to re-read their book over and over, isn't that what they all want?

SLAM 2
I remember before how i said i didnt realy like the book because i didnt like skating and i realized you dont have to like skating to like the book because theres mant other things going on in the book. Like Sam and Alicia dating and all. This book shows how falling in love can really change your everyday life because you always want to be with and only with your partner just about everyday. Sam even stopped skating for a while, but after being with Alicia every SINGLE day and going to her house to only have sex and watch TV started to get boring. He started skating again after the and him and Alicia stopped seeing eachother so often. This book also talks alot about teenage pregnancy, like how Sam's mom was 16 when she was pregnant with him. That was one of the main reasons Sam wanted to wait to have sex with Alicia because he didnt want to be a 16 year old father. He also talks about how it feels to be a child of someone who was 16 and pregnant, how all his friends hit on his mom, how all his moms co-workers and boss have kids around the same age as him and their all like 50 so it feels kind of awkward for him. I think im actually going to keep reading this book to find out how Sam and Alicia go since things seem kind of rocky right now. I think they made it kind of obvious that they broke up in the beginning of the book how everytime he talks about Alicia he say WAS, like Alicia WAS my first true love and stuff, or maybe they just wanted me to think that . . hmmm.

SLAM
The book im reading right now is called Slam by Nick Hornby . . This book is pretty good so far but it get kind of confuising since hes writing the book in prederate tense, what make it confusing is that you dont really understand what hes talking about when he says things that sound like "she acted like this before but she acts different now but im not qoinq to tell you how she acts now" that was kind of a bad example but i think you can get what im trying to say. This book is mainly about a boy whos 16 single with a 32 year old mom and likes this girl he met at his moms bosses partty, and whos realy into skating (he even has full blown convorsations with a Tony Hawk poster in his room). I just started reading this book so i dont know too much about it but i think ima keep reading it to see if i am interested in it, since this book seems more for skaters and skatings not really my thing .. at all
